Amazingly beautiful. Everything about this palace is just superb. I would advise you to visit it in evening due to the lights. It is open till 9pm and with different color of lights falling on this palace, it just looks majestic. Best time to visit is after 6pm

The palace is beautiful. A guide can help you explain the history better. The place was very crowded because of public holiday, hence the ticket line was long. Skip the ticket queue by purchasing online tickets on the spot. It was much faster

Recently visited this fort. Absolutely loved it. The history and architecture is mind blowing. A good step by Rajasthan Government to cap the charges of guides at 400. Was able to get a jeep to show around all the 3 forts nearby. The crowd is too much though at the monument which does lead to traffic snarls before you can enter the fort. Able to buy a lot of things within the premises so makes it easier.

The ticket price for foreigners is 502R (~6$). But you have to wait in a long queue. Yes, there are so many people!! And you have to walk for a while to reach. The ticket counter is up there in the palace To me, it is the most amazing of all places in Jaipur. One of the greatest engineering marvels I find. The architecture is in detail. The view is stunning from there. You can see the walls of the ancient city of Jaipur and other fortresses.

Plan your trip accordingly. I'll suggest devote a full day trip so that you can enjoy the scenic view. Although, I came here in a one day tour package, the only con is that we have to leave early and cannot watch the light show.

Amber Palace is a fantastic and historically important place. Use a government guide for insights. Wear comfy clothes and shoes due to lots of walking and stairs. Shop, but it's a bit pricey. Consider walking or using local jeeps, as parking is tough if you bring your car.

It's s very big fort/Palace atop a hill in Jaipur. You should have good amount of time with you to completely explore the place. On weekends it can take a lot of time to reach the Palace due to traffic. But its worth the wait and efforts.
